Deep purple with bright crimson rim. Complex array of warm spices such as cinnamon and star anise, underpinned by deep dark blood plums and complexing graphite minerality. The palate shows restrained power and great balance. Suggestions of brambly dark fruits with dark plums and baking spices. The tannins are powder fine and frame a medium-bodied palate that rolls on and on, finishing in a glorious fruit-filled yet complex fashion. A wine of great poise and power, yet fine detail.
