Fat Bastard Shiraz

What started as a glorious exclamation ("My God, it's a Fat Bastard!") from winemaker Thierry Boudinaud during a tasting in Southern France has become an internationally known and highly successful wine brand. Since that fateful day in the cellar, Fat Bastard from the Languedoc in South Western France has been irreverently producing "remarkably full bodied" Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and has landed here in Australia to delight palates and ruffle feathers.

This is no wallflower, so don’t hold back. Dive straight into this shiraz with juicy plums, purple violets, blackcurrant jam and licorice spice on the nose. The palate is big, bold and ballsy drinking. Loaded to the brim with ripe plush plums, juicy black cherries, a dash of black olives and a sprinkling of vanilla bean. With a finish of dark chocolate, pepper and cinnamon, you will be reaching for the second glass faster than you can say “Fat Bastard”.
