Fermoy Estate Shiraz
Rich ruby red with black tints. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and redcurrant with lifted notes of musk, vanilla bean and toasted oak spice. Ripe plum and black cherry fruit sweetness on the front palate precedes a rich array of perfume and spice notes – musk, vanilla and white pepper – through the middle palate. Soft, pliable tannins lead into a bright redcurrant acid line to provide length and focus to the finish, while toasted oak spice adds richness and complexity. 15 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barriques. Tannins are sufficiently pliable to drink now but, will continue to evolve over the next 4-8 years.
